Ahana Birth Services specializes in holistic fertility, prenatal, birth and postpartum care. For families of African, Hispanic, Asian and Native American descent, Maternal Mortality rates are increasing year by year due to factors including but not limited to racial disparities and infant-centered care. Nonetheless, families of all ethnicities and statures depend on our foundation.
The word “ Doula” means “mothering the mother” and that simply means to teach the woman to listen to her instincts. Natural fertility, birth and recovery encompass mind-body-soul connections and both partners should be approached with this in mind. Diet, meditations, affirmations, visualizations, herbs, movement and other factors assist in the process. Ahana uses these techniques to strengthen this connection with your intuition. The key to caring for yourself holistically is understanding the sensations/ communications of your body and mind.
